205.4
5.5 lb from my goal of being under the 200 mark. Last time I weighed in under 200 was 7 years and 4 months ago, right before I got pregnant with my 6 year old.
I'm still doing the high protein, low carb, low fat diet. So far it is great. I get a little bored sometimes, but the weight coming off makes it worth it.
I've taken up running. I hit the gym every other day and do at least 30 minutes on the treadmill. Right now it is intervals since I'm a beginner runner. I'm up to .25 mile running, .25 walking, .25 running, etc.
I've had to buy new clothes. It is a shock to buy size XL when I was a 3x for so long. I'm praying for continued success.

Feeling Great!
Updates since my last post:
I joined a gym and have been going often. I can now run!!!! Not far yet, but I plan to be able to run my next 5k. Thats right, I did a 5k! My mom and I walked the 5k in DC for Hyperemesis Gravidarum. Pictures are posted at helpher.org and we are in a bunch of them!
This morning I weighed in at 211.1... thats right, 211.1 the lowest weight I have been in 7 years!Woot!!!
Tonight I tried a new recipe and I'm honestly pretty pissed that I have never thought of this one myself.
Big Mac in a Bowl
8 oz raw ground turkey
2 cups iceburg lettuce
2 or 3 dill pickle spears diced
diced onion to taste
Walden Farms thousand island dressing to taste
Cook ground turkey in skillet, seasoning to taste. Mix all ingredients in bowl and enjoy.
I swear, it was just like a freaking big mac! Didn't even miss the cheese or the bread! I am doing high protein right now and I get most of my calories at dinner, but this could easily be cut in half to save on some of the calories. Of course, if you use dressing other than Walden Farms you will have to take that into account since WF is calorie free.

Still Doing Well
It is the end of March. I am still eating well and exercising almost every day. I am down 13 lb and more inches. I have started to be able to raid my daughter's closet! I love it! She hates it.
I recently celebrated 80 straight days of logging my food on My Fitness Pal. I am always honest, especially on days like today where I ate 1000 calories over my goal. Hey, its going to happen, might as well be honest about it.
I joined the Biggest Loser challenge at work. Today was our 2nd weigh in and I was down 3.3 lb. YAY!
I have been going to the gym this past week on a free trial pass. Once upon a time I could only do 2 minutes on the elliptical. This week I did 20 minutes and hardly broke a sweat! I am starting to add some jogging to my walking. I am going to start the Couch to 5k program next week.
I signed up for a 5k in DC in May to help aid research for Hyperemesis Gravidarum, the disease that nearly killed me when I was pregnant. I can't wait!

Its Been Awhile
I know I've been away forever. I managed to not gain any weight, not even through the holidays! Go me! Well now it is the New Year and I have been challenged by a coworker to do a fitness challenge with her. She found it at the Fitness Ladies website. We got a late start, so even though it is now January 5th, we are on day 2. Day 2 of this challenge that doesn't look too bad and my arms and legs are killing me!
In addition to the fitness challenge, I have also challenged myself to drink more water. I am a Diet Coke addict so I need to get that under control. This week I did not allow myself a soda until I had finished 1 bottle of water. For every bottle of soda I have to drink 1 bottle of water. It is actually working well and not bad at all. I am drinking much less soda but I am peeing like nonstop! Kind of annoying at work.
I decided to start keeping track of my food at My Fitness Pal again. I was really surprised at how much I have been really eating. So, back to calorie counting I go. I really hope I can make it stick this time. My husband has gained over 50 lb in the last year so he needs to eat better too. I'm going to make healthier meals for the entire family instead of trying to do my thing separately. Too bad I spent $50 over budget this week at the grocery store buying healthier food. Why does it have to be so expensive? LOL
Here's to hoping I get better at my updates here as well!

After almost 3 weeks of doing whatever I wanted, I am up 2.4 lb. I'm honestly surprised and happy that it wasn't more. I went ahead an purchased the monthly pass and have been spending this week trying my best to get back on track. It has been rough. We had a birthday party for my boss which included cake, chips, and candy. Yes, I ate it all, but I also tracked it all. So while I definitely could have made better food choices, I did choose to be accountable and track every bite as honestly as possible. Right now I have 1 weekly allowance point left and I don't weigh in until tuesday. I have to be on my A game the rest of this week.
Tomorrow I am driving 3 hours to visit with some friends. We will have a cookout. I bought turkey burgers to take with me. I plan to have them without the bun. I will probably take some salad with me as well. I plan to be as good as possible. Also, since we are going to the lake, I am hoping to get some exercise in. Heres hoping for a small loss on tuesday.

Vacation
Nothing new to report weight wise. I went home for a visit this weekend. Left Friday and came home Monday. I know that when I visit I always get tempted into the wrong food choices so I packed a bag of WW friendly snacks, and that bad sat untouched on my mom's kitchen table for 4 days, lol. I gave myself permission to go off plan for the weekend and I did just that. I don't think I did horribly though because my home scale showed a loss of 1 lb this morning. I'm not making it official because it was my scale, not the meeting room scale.
I have to figure out what I am going to do though because last week and this week I am too broke to be able to go to a meeting and weigh in. I do not want to drop out, but the program has gotten pretty expensive over the last few years. Since I am missing 2 weeks, I will have to pay for them anyway at my next meeting. It is going to be $42! It would be cheaper to get the monthly pass, but I'm not sure that if I do it online that it will go to my existing account. I guess I need to call and see. UGH, decisions!

Weigh In and Salads
Down 1.4 tonight for a total of 11 lb. YAY! I was hoping for a loss of .4 to make 10, but was very pleasantly surprised and happy that I went a whole lb above that! Especially considering the birthday cake I had over the weekend. 2 pieces in 2 days, not too bad, but all that extra icing I scooped up with a spoon, I was sure it was going to kill any dreams of having a loss.
Tonight at the meeting we talked about salads and how to keep them from being boring. The group came up with suggestions for different 0 point and low point foods to add to our salads. Many of them I already do, but there were some new ones that I would like to try.
chick peas (1/2 cup for 3 points+)
black beans, pintos, kidneys, etc ( 1/2 cup for 3 points+)
Bacos imitation bacon bits (0 for 1 TBSP, I believe)
chicken, turkey, ground beef, steak, etc (see book for points+ values)
tuna or salmon (2 points+ for 1/2 cup canned in water)
mushrooms
different types of cheeses
mint leaves
radishes
eggs
turkey bacon (1 points+ per 1 slice)
salsa instead of dressing for 0 points+
home made croutons (about 1/2 cup for 2 points+)
olives, black or green
crab or shrimp
different types of lettuces and greens
corn
left over veggies from lat night's dinner (not a favorite idea of mine though)
